have you seen a physio?

at my physio, after 6 hydro sessions 1 to 1, they run group sessions in a local pool.

we also can buy a card that gives discounts for the sports centre inc pools.

Hi,

ask at your local swimming pool as they sometimes have schemes to help.

Hi stevespoc

I am so sorry to read that you cannot afford to go privately to Hydrotherapy. I think the replies that you have received have got some good suggestions as your physio may refer you for this, and then there will be no cost. And of course, if you ring your local council they may be able to subsidise this by offering you a set amount of sessions for a lower charge?

I want to wish you all the best of luck with this.

Have you asked at your local council whether they do any concessions, ours does for disabled people. You pay a small one off sum and you can then get discounted sessions for swimming and other activities. I know in some areas doctors are allowed to prescribe a course of swimming for their patients as I remember talking to someone at a leisure centre in Wales who said they offered that facility. Hope that you find somethingx

Check with your gp. They have a gym refferal here. I don't use the gym but the card gives free swimming. X
