Zapain but they have not touched it . I do have slow release tramadol but can I take these together. I am led in bed just worrying about not being well enough to look after family and go to my par time work. Work have been very good but I have had a lot of time off. Feeling very low right now and wish the pain would go away. Any advice on meds would be great. I am on levoyjroxine for under active thyroid, citalpram for depression. Lansoprazole for hiatus hernia. Amytriptyline 10 mg at night and 3.75 mg zopiclone and zapain 3 times a day when flare up. Quite a concoction but still in a great deal of pain. Thank you for reading this x

Hi juliao
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these issues. I was wondering if your doctor would give you a referral to a pain management clinic? As they are in the best position to be able to help alleviate your pain? As they will have pain medication that your GP may not prescribe for you?
I want to wish you all the best of luck

Hi juliao
Welcome to our friendly fibro forum and hope you find us helpful and supportive.
Managing medications and getting the right balance can take a while, which is frustrating.
We have an FAQ - My current medication doesn't seem to be working, what treatments are recommended for Fibro? which may have some useful information and links that you may find helpful.

It is worth going to speak to your GP if you feel that you're not benefiting from your medications in a way that let's you run your day to day life as then you can work together to find the correct balance for you. It may even just require a dosage tweaking here and there and not even a new medicine you won't know until you speak to your GP
Our Mother site fibroaction.org has a wealth of information regarding and all things related to having Fibromyalgia and is probably worth having a mooch around including complemantary/alternative medicines/therapies, which is also another route you could take. However I must say that if you do decide to try any new therapies or treatments it is wise to talk to your GP or Pharmacist to make sure that it won't interact badly with any other medicines that you take.
I am not a medical professional so I can't tell you personally what would be good for you
All FAQ's on the site are downloadable and printable for ease of reference and also you could make personal notes on them to help you when you go to see your doc.
The link to the complementary therapies section is on the link I gave you above for the FAQ if you fancy taking a peek
Hope that I have given you some useful information and please don't be afraid to join in with the discussions or the fun and giggles or to ask any other Q's as it won't be long before someone comes along whether to offer advice, support or to simply give you a reassuring hug
Let us know how you get on and looking forward to seeing you around
Fluffie hugs and smiles
