Hello to everyone, I have posted on here a few times previously and can only give a huge thanks to all of you on here, as without this means of support and information I would feel really alone. It seems as though my health is spiralling downwards as I have developed Fibromyalgia, Raynauds, hypotension &asthma since my Hashimotos started. Now after the annual mot at the docs I have to have a glucose tolerance test cos my level came back high,my liver enzymes are higher than normal & I have to have my white blood cells repeated cos they were high too. I am not overweight and do not drink much. I feel like everything is going down I am 54 female & the nurse said my heart was the age of a 63 year old.
I have stopped eating gluten as I was having terrible stomach problems for years and have been amazingly better.Thankyou again for this most supportive group.

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and from what you have written it appears to be a 'snowball' affect for you? I can easily imagine that with your Fibro and Hashimotos that you have severe problems undertaking any kind of physical exercise? And this 'could' be a part of the problem?
By definition, Hashimotos can help increase your weight gain as the thyroid is not functioning properly, so I have pasted you the NHS Choices link below:
To keep our hearts healthy, we are required to undertake exercise and eat healthily, but this is not always an easy thing to do when we are not feeling well, I know this only too well? I have pasted you the link for NHS Choices Healthy Living:
I was wondering if you have discussed Physiotherapy with your GP? I see a Physiotherapist every fortnight, and because I cannot do vigorous exercise she has tailored a plan to suit my abilities and needs. You may find this useful? You may find that you need extra pain medication if you decide to pursue Physiotherapy?
Regardless of whatever you decide to do, I want to wish you all the best of luck and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these problems, but I do understand it will not be easy?
hi I am sorry to read about your health! it is very frustrating as its as if your body is turning on itself, I think all we can do is eat healthy foods, have lots of rest and be kind to ourselves. I too have multiple issues ra, fibro, depression and compromised liver causing major stomach issues(causing massive weight gain). Its certainly not a ride in the park! take care Trish
