It hurt initially as you would expect and died off, then it seemed to come back with a vengeance and in throbbing pain for a good 15 minutes till it died off again, does any one else get this if they knock or bang themselves?

Ouch!

I drop and throw and knock myself on things all the time and even the smallest knock really hurts!

Hi nothingwrong

I am so sorry to read that you have hurt yourself this way. It is really unpleasant when a pain such as this keeps recurring and just won't go away for good.

This has happened to me on several occasions so I understand where you are coming form. As long as your toes are not badly swollen or misshaped, as not to be broken it will probably go away on its own. However, should your symptoms persist or get worse, you should see your GP to get your toes looked at?

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi nothingwrong I have this a lot. I am not sure if it is the same thing but when I was 2, I am about to turn 48 on the 15th, I hit my forehead quite hard and cut it open. I had to have stitches and if I even just touch it lightly it really hurts as if it is still healing :o)

Hi nothingwrong, I find that what a "normal" person would just brush off as a minor thing such a you describe, has a completely different effect on me. Like the others have said, I find it can trigger much more pain than you could every imagine. I'm not sure whether it may be to do with our pain receptors interpreting things differently, but I know that little bumps mean big pain.

Sending positive healing vibes your way :-)

Ho ho!!! Yes! Absolutely!! I did it to my leg - again - a few weeks ago! I gashed my leg when opening the car door and my God did it hurt! It wasn't until I saw the blood gushing from the wound that I realised what I'd done!!! I'm always banging in to things...I didn't realise it was connected to fibro...I just thought I was a clumsy fool!!!! XX

I have lost just about all the strength in my hands. I even went to plastic plates because I was dropping the dishes and chipping them regularly. I bruise easy to. Just another wonderful day with fibromyalgia. Hope you feel better sweetheart!!!! xxxx Mitzi
