TO HELP US MEET THIS TARGET WE NEED YOU TO COMPLETE AND RETURN ANY DOCUMENTS WE HAVE SENT YOU ONLY CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE NOT GOT A DECISION AFTER 11 WEEKS. they enclosed no documents to complete only this letter, should I notify my GP of this letter? If they haven't enclosed anything for you to complete and they already have letters from your GP and specialists etc then I think it means they don't need anything more . It's a standard letter by the sound of it . If you have more info you want them to consider though I'd send it .
Thanks HelenUk1963, that's really helpful and hopefully they've got enough, but think I will send a copy of letter to my GP,, to see what he thinks, have a lovely day xx
Poppy, I would probably give them a call, as I have just received four letters, all posted on the same day, asking for things that they have already had, and I'm going to call them as I don't want any confusion or delay, as they are all confusing.
Might be worth a quick phone call to put your mind at ease x

Thanks MIssKittycat, will give them a ring as you can never be sure what they have received, or said they have received, good luck with your claim, I'm giving my GP a copy too, to make sure he knows the latest, hugs xx
Hi Poppy, I think MissKittycat is right and you should call them to check the fact that they havn't included anything. It could be they have everything but if it is an oversight on their behalf at least you will know what else they need you to produce.
ive had one like that twice....theres nothing to fill in...its a waiting game now for another decision..mine took bout 8 wks.....but if yr unsure ring them.......i realy hope you get good news when it does come...........julie..xxxxx
Thanks for the advice Angela and Julie, I am giving a copy of letter to my GP and ringing DWA to make sure everything is ok, I'm hoping my GP will support me with a back up letter as he spoke to me last week, before consideration and said he was not happy that they had refused me, initially. As you say then it's just a waiting game, just keeping fingers crossed, back playing up, but trying to be positive, have a good evening Justine xx
what else u can do is... gather any information..ie doctors, people who help care for u to write a letter and send this off to them... its a standard letter u get when u put in ur form.. and it can take 11 weeks but if u win u get it back dated.. so good luck xxx
Thanks diane63, I sent a huge collection of doctor/consultant stuff originally, when I got the refusal letter, it seems to me that they only took notice when I explained my situation on the phone, telling them my husband has had to change shifts etc. I asked if I should send family letters etc, she said there was no need, obviously couldn't stand the thought of reading any more he, he. However I will see if my doctor will give me a letter of support, he has given the medical report etc, required. Feeling pretty rough today, facing another back spasm, I can feel it tightening, so trying to be positive, have a lovely weekend Justine xx
