Hello Chinkyofficial1,

May I ask was this meant for the NHS Weight Loss forum as you've posted on the FibroAction community and I notice you usually post on the NHS site?

Many Thanks

Emma :)

Morning Ken. We're on the same part of the clock for once. Re: another post. Do you do boubon scented hugs, sparkles or anything like it? :P

I do all of those, and even Bourbon flavoured biscuits! You don't find them in many places.

No problem, you're always welcome. Some of your issues relate to us anyway. Without going into detailed jargon, I've lost 35lb in the last 2 years. They say fibro can be aggravated by overweight and most of us could do with losing dome, according to nauseatingly regular news reports. :)

Moral support on its way in the form of frankincense scented hugs

Have I ever. Days on end when I just did not even get out of bed. Wish I had this kind of support at the time. If I remember right the internet did not exist and getting up to go to a support group was out of the question. It was an awful period of my life and led to a lot of other negative things. Best forgotten for the most part but lessons to be learned for life. Looking back it's so important to get motivated and keep up morale. You only get one chance at life and I muffed mine. There are now many things I will not be able to do that I would like and in other circumstances might have achieved. Fortunately I came out the other side a changed person. Changed for the better with changed priorities and I feel so much happier even when things are bad. I think contentment is more important than transitory pleasure.

Yes it was - I put on a lot of weight in a couple of years.

I'm still not a pretty picture but feel lots better physically and mentally - despite the fibro.

Hehehe. Its ok. Sorry, i just made a wrong assumption. Someone on here thought I was a girl - made me and a couple of others laugh. I don't put much in my profile so who's to know?

Is that why you changed avatar?

Have you also tried asking your GP for referral to a dietician? You've done ever so well but it might help. Remember we are not medically trained so take what we say with caution. Same goes with exercise. As you're on a NHS site you'll find lots of good advice in there, too. Have you looked at "Change4life" within that. As Concerned says, we mostly know what's right and wrong and whatever illness or problem we have, the dietary list is much the same. Fresh fruit and veg, look critically at meat, I go without 3 days a week and of course alcohol, sweet things, and watch for hidden sugars and fats. I rarely eat out anymore so I can be in better control.

I exercise a lot in my work and hobbies but with fibro I'm a bit restricted before pain kicks in.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do. :) :)
