hi Klfhl, have you seen your gp? it might be an idea to go.

you can call 101 and get advice, or go to an a&e if you need to.

let us know how you are.

regards,

hamble.

Hi Klfhl

I am so sorry to read that you are struggling so badly with your chest at the moment. I was wondering if you also use a preventative inhaler? As this can help stabalise asthma.

If your breathing gets really bad you should, without a doubt seek medical attention, as I do, and hopefully they can give you something like Prednisolone to ease your breathing? (have you ever had oral steroids for your breathing?).

Please keep us all up to date with how you are getting on?

Take care

I'm sorry to hear that you suffer so much. Since you don't have infection, that means your pain is related to something else. I recall how the action of coughing itself triggers my chest and neck muscle to go into spasm and stay that way for ages. those muscle won't relax! I've fibromyalgia.

Ever since that episode, whenever I know I'll be coughing soon I'd do the following:

1. get cough syrups that will loosen the mucus and do deep breathing and coughing exercise. You can find that online.

2. take high doses of vit c. Take vit d and dk2 ( make sure you get the professional one that have independent body testing it so that what label claim is true). When unsure get it via natural path doctor.

3. I go see my acupuncture for there is an acupressure point that will stop coughing and get rid of mucus right away. It works every times. However, good acupuncture is difficult to find for it's a difficult art to master. You might want to check with some Asian or Chinese people to ask for a reputable one.

4. Go see a physiotherapist or chiropractor who practice involve techniques that they learnt outside of their school meaning they go to seminar for technique such as viceral adjustment, myofacial (silver skin) adjustment, cranial adjustment etc. This is important for my muscle went into spasm and therefore my whole body alignment is off and it's painful and I can't sleep. Even walking becomes painful. Once these practioners make adjustment on me, my body will align much better so that I'm functional. Imagine your body mucle is like a spider web, if one thread is pull the whole spider web is off alignment.

5. Soak in hot tub with Epsom salt which help muscle soreness. I hope this help.

Hi all thanks for replies. Doc said I have torn muscles with all the coughing I have done in last wk. it will take some time to heal and pain is very intense. Ventolin inhaler given to open airway as I was not breathing properly and risked infection. Still aches today but it's becoming tolerable and I'm hoping to reduce tramadol tonight as they make me sick. Thanks for all your kindness xxxx
