Hi mitziblue

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry to read that you have been experiencing this pain and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to the issue.

I have pasted you a couple of links pertaining to what it could be. However, as I am not a doctor I cannot say for definite that it is one of these things:

patient.co.uk/forums/discus...

I would definitely discuss such an issue with my GP if I were you? Just to get anything else ruled out and to put your mind at ease. Your GP may be able to give you something for the pain itself?

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken x

Hi mitziblue,

is it at your ribs below the breast? If it is then I get this and I am having trouble with it for the past few weeks although it is my right side at the moment, it would be sore if you lay on it in bed, sore when you breathe deeply and sore to touch. I have been assured it is fibro related but because of where it is it would be better to consult your doctor, it could even be a chest infection.

Best of luck and I hope you can get it sorted :)

Thank you, it's so hard to tell with the Fibro.

Hi,

Yes i get this at different times all around the area of my ribs which is usually on my left side and is always worse at period. I have noticed that the pressure from bra wires and straps set this off and had to buy soft bra for bad times. My gp told me to go without at which I laughed and said I couldn't stand bruised knees. If I press the area that hurts it feels like it's badly bruised. Hope this helps

Thank's, it really does help knowing that it's normal for Fibromyalgia. Sometimes I don't know if these new symptoms are related or something else. Thanks So Much!!!

Hi Mitziblue

It is always best to have anything that is painful around the breast area checked out just to be on the safe side. I suffer with costo-chondritis which is inflammation of the rib cage and I can have symptoms exactly the same. I have had to give up on wearing bras and even a vest can feel painful some times. Before I started on Pregablin the symptoms were intolerable but are now more acceptable or it could be that I have just got better at coping with the pain. Stretching up or carrying anything at all heavy always starts it off. I did have a full breast examination and everything was clear apart from a cyst which at least put my mind at rest on that front. Hope you get whatever it is sorted out. x

Thank you, it's starting to feel better. I haven't had a bra on in many years due to the Fibromyalgia. Just hurts to darn bad. I wear those tanks with a bra lining and get them big as so not to rub my body. Thanks for your response!!!

Hi

I bought several of those tanks and was thrilled to be able to wear something womanly but even those two sizes too big seem to be hurting me now, another cross we have to bear. Glad your pain is easing.x

Thank you rosewine. Hope and pray you get some relief, please do try a pain specialist. It makes a big difference in helping on those day's that seem unbearable. Mitzi

Hi Mitzi

I already attend a pain clinic and they give me electronic acupuncture 3 times a year. Wish it could be more often as it does help for a few weeks but the dreaded NHS have reduced the funding for it and no one else does it privately in my area or I would willingly pay for top ups. I am on several types of pain killers as well as the Pregablin but they only have limited effect. Always praying for a miracle.x
