CTS but in feet?

so went to take my dogs out and could barely walk for the pain in my right leg and knee. literally having to drag my right leg along behind me,and end up getting a bus back home.never known pain like it!then my left foot is cold all the time and I get a shooting pain in the arch and numbness in my toes and I either walk on the toes or heel until it goes away or sit down somewhere.at home have to apply heat pads all day.is this like having CTS but in the foot ?can get away with not taking them out in the afternoon but they expect and need a walk in the mornings.

  • Hi Anbuma :)

Sorry to hear you're having problems with painful feet it could be plantar fasciitis but a podiatrist would be able to tell you whether it is or not if you can get your doctor to refer you. I have it in both feet with my left foot being the worst and am currently undergoing consultancy and discussing treatments etc. I am giving you the link to a leaflet about it from patient.co.uk so that you can read and check your symptoms against it.

Wishing you wellness and hope you get some help for it soon, healing fluffies coming your way :)

  • thanks guys.less painful as day progressed but not done much other than sleep and watch TV. I googled CTS IN foot and it came up with a name for the condition and a diagram.it seems it is the same as CTS and described exactly what its like for me.Sian.havent viewed the website yet but am about to.

  • Hi anbuma

I am so sorry to read that you are struggling at this time and I genuinely hope that things start to pick up for you soon. It really doesn't sound very pleasant what you have described.

    Take care

  • Hi anbuma, I have got plantar fasciitis as well as Fibro and Lymphoedema and your pain sounds similar to my plantar fasciitis. I don't know what CTS is? probably being thick here. It would be a good idea to see a Podiatrist. I had surgery on both my feet after a year of other treatments didn't work.

    Good Luck!

  • Hello April.CTS is carpal tunnel syndrome.had it in my left hand for a long time-cold,numb,pins and needles etc.asked dr about op and he said can have an injection.did that a couple of weeks ago and the difference is amazing and instant.tho hands still painful and sore can actually do stuff again I couldn't do for ages.how have you got on with the "dogs"?dr appt on 14th ,tell him then.as well as try to get issues sorted.!!

  • Hi again Anbuma, oh yes of course Carpal Tunnel syndrome! Pleased to hear that the injections have helped, I had several injections in both feet over about 18 months and laser treatment and Physio but they didn't work for me which is why they operated and cut the fascia ligament under both feet one at a time 6 months apart and that really worked but 5 years later it's coming back as they warned me it might but they can only do the op once as there's a risk of the ligaments rupturing and then I wouldn't be able to walk at all. I'm still glad I had the ops though although it was very painful at the time but I've had a few years of less painful feet! I wish there was a solution for the rest of my pain though. I hope that you don't get to the stage of needing the op and that the injections keep the pain at bay. Take care
