hi does anyone have sudden sharp pain like a stinging nettle i have developed one in my elbo no mark to show for it just random burning pain

Hi there Karen-t -

Sorry to say I get loads of places where I get this kind of sensation. I find that gently rubbing a handcream into the affected area helps as it confuses the pain receptors. Be warned that if may well fell like you're rubbing in broken glass to start with but I found persevering helps and that's why I put hand cream/lotion on as gives me something to make me keep working at.

thank you and yes it does feel like rubbing glass but that happens when i rub my head or arms anyway in my family we call it fibromcnasty

I get all sorts of weird sudden roaming pains but your stinging nettle description i get up my ankle around the bone drives me crazy

Hi Jude, I get the stinging nettle pain in my ankles too - you feel as though you've been zapped! really painful and really annoying! try taking colloidal silver as it's working for me

i get neuropathic pain. it is horrendous. very painful. I liken it to being a voodoo doll and having pins stuck into my body randomly.. certainly takes my breath away and makes me scream

OMG - it's just like that isn't it? I inadvertently *crossed* a woman who turned out to be quite vicious and have frequently joked that she must be sticking pins in my voodoo dolly!

its quite common with fibro, and of course with diabetes 1&2. Sometimes its worse than others, I go through a spate of it.

H Karen,I get a pain on the left side of my face,under the eye,going round to above the eye,I liken it to grazing your face on a brick wall.I also get pain in my jaw,ear ache,swollen glands,sore throat,when all this happens its a sure sign of a flare up on its way..

Ay weird pain or symptom you get ,dont ever worry,its only Fibro monster messing with you,only

Hi everyone , I've been put on chlonidine to help with head aches and raised Bp which I seem to get if in a flare and the dodgy thermostate this drug helping the soaking sweats. Reduced after one week , but have got a stinginging in thigh and calf ! I get stinging all under bust like lumps at night and my chest get pains very worrying , but I know know its fibro cos happens often so just try and sleep , but hey not easy for us to do is it awake 3 times a night !
