things are moving,my daughter in law has had a show & has a bit of light pain so i reckon my grandson could be born tonight :) it's her 3rd

child,i have her other 2 boys who are 2 & 4 here at the moment as she had midwife this morning, so looks as tho they will be staying the night. im so excited,can't wait to see him xx

I was with my daughter when she gave birth to her youngest son at home, absolutely magical. Hope it won't be too long before you have that special cuddle. :)

hi, no i havn't heard any more yet,last i heard was last night she was getting slightly stronger pain, this girl has slow labours so...hopefully today :) xx

Typical little boy my youngest was the same he's 35 now. Lots of hugs to the other little boys xxx

aw thanks cloggs,they are lovely kids,they gone home now, i can't believe she drove over to see them as she didin't want them to feel left out,bless her she is a very good mother tho she's absolutly devoted to them,which is good but i said she'l probly get home then start again, it's getting her down a bit now so hopefully be soon , mine were pretty quick,my eldest was 7 hrs total she's 34 now lol & the quickest was my 4th who was born in the ambulance he was 25 minutes total & he's the awaiting dad :) xx

thanx ginns,it seems this baby wants to stay put! her pains have stopped stubborn boy! lol, i was never like that my labours started & that was it boom! baby,he can't be too much longer surely :) xx

It reminds me of when my daughter was born, it took my poor wife an eternity and I promised myself that I would be ready for this when my son was born, alas we only just made it to the hospital. It is a strange and beautiful thing child birth!

I am getting quite excited about this!

oh thanks ken,oh really they say no 2 labours are the same & from my experience it's true i have 5 & they were all different, i remember a poor girl i used to work with was in labour for 42 hrs!..yes it sure is a wonderful & beautiful thing, albeit painful for the mother while the dad sits watching lol, xx

I have had three and each one was different. I was also at the birth of my grandson which was a beautiful experience.

Hope all goes well for your daughter in law and you see your grandson soon x

Hi bluebell my daughter in law went to the hospital she was the same slow labour. She was sent home then 3 in the morning she started again back to hospital and my first grandchild was born he is now 18. Well we will keep our fingers crossed it happens pretty soon. Xx

hiya ken, no! still waiting, myself i think she's having most of her pain in her back as she's been in a lot of pain with it.i said to her that if things don't get moving to call her midwife,i shall keep you all informed :) xx

Hiya bluebell like ken I've been checking forum. My mom used to say to me when I was due take castor oil good god the thought of it would send anyone into labour. Keep us informed hope your appointment went well.xxx

lol , i did say that to her & her face was a picture! cos i remember my mother in law saying to me to try that! yuk! i suppose she could put some orange juice with it :) xx

sorry yes my appointment was ok i just saw the nurse for 1st registration,she just said can't see why i wouldn't be accepted x

Poor girl, she must be exhausted. I expect the boys are getting impatient too.

I have personal experience of stewed rhubarb and a walk to get thing going! :)
