awfull pain in my wrists and fingers .
Kimey, I have many problems with my hands and wrists.
The tips of my fingers can be so painful it feels like under the finger nails are all bruised but there is no marks the finger tips it feels like someone was beating them with a hammer the pain comes and goes in most of the fingers but is always present to a greater extent in my thumb nails.
I am generally troubled with pain in the hands and this is often one of my most troubling symptoms at times.
Sometimes the wrists and finger pain is worse than others but it always gives me grief when I am trying to lift things or putting any pressure on the joints,, the pain also seems to get worse the more I try to do.
I use an anti-inflammatory gel on them 2 or 3 times a day and it dose help, this is something you could try.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes, Ray
I also have pains in my fingers. My main problem is in my right hand although I do get it from time to time in my left hand as well. My pain goes from my knuckles to the end of my fingers, I also have swelling as well. My fingers are also a bit out of shape at the joint just before my nails. The pain is terrible at times. I take anti inflammatory drugs and pain killers which helps sometimes. Hope you find something to ease your pain soon.

Thanks carole1971, its just another dreaded symptom to cope with , take care kim x
Hi kimey007
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you are looking for. I was wondering if you get any swelling in your fingers like you would associate with arthritis? Or discolouring, as this could be linked to other illnesses?
I would definitely discuss this issue with your GP or Medical Specialist simply to get other issues ruled out of the equation? Even if they cannot find anything else wrong they may just give you something to help you?
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi Kimey, yes I have pain and swelling in my fingers all of the time, a lot of the time so so painful to the point I run out of ideas on how to get some relief! I've been putting it down to arthritis as I've had a bone taking out of each wrist because of it, but if it's a symptom of Fibro, it throws a big curve ball!! I have an appointment to see yet another Doctor on Wednesday on my quest to find yet another replacement for my departed normal one who had a more than average understanding of Fibro - you know you just get them trained then they move on, haha! So I will I see what she says and let you know, 'keep the faith' and more important keep warm!!
Warmest regards
S xx

Thanks sue, take care kim x
Aww..hi Kim. I've the same problem and it makes life difficult. I can't do mist of the things I could before and the pain can make me cry. I'm sorry you are having this problem too. I haven't had any advice on managing the pain except heat and putting my hands in hot water. I'm going to ask for a referral to rheumatology and see if they can help. I hope you find a solution soon as it's miserable. Best wishes Nicola x
Hi there. I suffer from this as well, becomes worse if I do anything more than once. I was started on amitriptyline which has helped although I still can't do things repetitively.
