Does anyone else have a spotty raised red rash related to fibro. My doc thought it might be lupus but it isn't. Help.

have read that don't get skin rashes with fibro but do with lupus.i have bright red skin all over.sores on my scalp*,around my knuckles*and nails* and on my hands and feet are bright red all the time.* =symptoms of lupus.

You don't state where the rashes are prevalent - is it all over or in specific areas like anbuma's?

I have rashes also but mainly on my shoulders and upper back - occasionally I get rashes on my forehead but I think they're all connected to my meds and the fact that I get 'the sweats' from time to time - again, I think it's condition and meds related - definitely Not Lupus.

May I suggest you look up symptoms for dermatitis herpetaformis which is a skin reaction to coeliac disease. My dermatologist thought I had it but a biopsy showed otherwise. It may not be that - I'm not medically qualified _ but may be something to look into. Good luck xx

I think this form of dermatitis is what a dermatologist first told me when I saw a rheumatologist fro second time when fibro first started .it was only on my ankles and I still have it -either lupus or thyroid??
