someone told me to get medical back up because it helps wen sending the form back, been to see my doctor he as put I'm not fit for work for the next 20 years and signed it and surgery stamped it. also going to send original face to face report from atos disability analyst back with form. Will this help my review ?

in the real world it should but dont forget were dealing with atos fairyland were u have to have actualy died to be unfit for work (not really sure they would accept that as being unfit for work)

Hello, i've heard lots of horror stories on here about ATOS and was dreading the time i was to have my assessment with them...plus my appointment was at 9am in the morning!!

I went along with an open mind and didn't get it recorded...the nurse was a middle aged lady, quite friendly, i felt quite at ease with her, maybe i was just lucky that day.

She went through my paperwork which Citizen's Advice Bureau helped me with but i wasn't happy so had added extra things...she asked me all about my health, what i could or couldn't do, and got me to try a few simple movements which i didn't push myself to do in case of triggering off something.

The only things that i took along to the meeting was all my hospital appts and a letter from my doctor stating all my health issues and what medications i am on.

She calmed my fears and said i wasn't too worry...and a week later i got the dreaded brown envelope telling me that i was in the Support Group!!

I hope my story will help other people on here....

In theory that should be enough but we all have to look at what they are being told to do. Reduce claims by 20% or there abouts. In my ESA case they took no notice of any of my health issues or my heart consultants concerns that they had drafted in detail. I went to appeal and the Judge and Doctor and found in my favour in minutes and showed concern to the fact that I was on my own while my wife worked part time. (Our only income at the time) I have got a review in 12 months so all this to look forward to again no doubt. To top things off my wife has been called in for a work improvement interview even though she has a part time job and is my unpaid carer!

You may also find completing your esa5o on a form which can be downloaded may be easier as many find the writing painful. Here is the link;

I found that being able to type the answers in is much easier and when ready to send you print the completed form but you must remember to sign & date the declaration at the end by hand before sending
