Hi so I've been to a private pain consultant. He advised an IV Infusion, linked up to it for 2 hours and the calms the nerves down that are erratic and causing the pain and then a rehab physio course. I'm using Pregabalin which helps abit .
What are your thoughts?

There area few infusions that can possibly be given from lidocaine and ketamine to a myers cocktail. There may be others but they all have varying evidence and nothing striking but for those that they can help then they are essential but I do not think it is a high proportion of people.
I had a lidocaine infusion in Feb. It went smoothly but I had no relief (or side effects) whatsoever! I am on low doses of pregabalin and amitriptyline.
Hi KaliAka, I have had 8 Lidocaine infusions, my last in January this year. I would have to say they have provided very little relief and I won't be taking any more. My pain specialist has now recommended that he give me injections in to my ribs to try to alleviate the pain from costocondritis and take things from there. Best of luck to you with your infusion. Take care. Maria
Hi ive also tried lidocaine and also ketamine (that was an experience!).bit never worked unfortunately. I find anatryptaline has helped as have perinhal nurapathy too .I think physio can also be too much .gentle stretching can help .my pysio experience wasent the best .they think we all just need too exercise alot more.which is unrealistic!. That's my experience though.and were all different .I'd try for yourself as it's worth a go .as unfortunately there isent a great lot of effective treatment out there for us fybromalgia warriors!
