I had a phone call from dwp on Thursday trying to persuade me not to appeal for the support group. I have fibro and they said I need to discuss ''what barriers I can overcome to return to work'' what planet are these imbeciles on?

Not on our planet that's for sure, you stick to your guns and appeal for the support group.

Good morning Scott, don't let them get to you! You stick to your appeal,if they had our condition at its worst for one day and were asked to work they would all be a heap on the floor!xx

What a nerve they have. One could almost call that harassment . I would stick to your guns and continue with the appeal. Sounds like they are afraid you will win so are trying to put you off.

As already said stick to your guns and continue with your appeal they have a blooming cheek! what the hell do they know honestly I would gladly change places with any one of them to be working and living a normal life!! Good luck my friend and let us know how you get on :)

Not only should you stick to your guns and go ahead with the appeal I think you should make an official complaint, using your MP [I know someone who works for DWP and they hate getting letters from MPs as they must deal with them as a priority]. Also. ask your MP to raise this issue at Parliament with Ian Duncan Smith [IDS]. This behaviour must be nipped in the bud. It's an absolute disgrace. S x

I got my MP involved with my case and they did move so much quicker.

Definitely make an official complaint. They are totally out of order making a phone call like that! It's disgraceful.

Good luck with your appeal.

Totally disgusting the way they tried to manipulate you stick to your guns an take advice from our fellow fibromites and report the incident, did you happen to get a name from the caller? Sithy

I totally agree with what everyone else has said. They have obviously had orders from above so as to reduce appeals. It feels horribly personal but it isn't. The 'barriers to over come so you can return to work' is just one of their favourite meaningless mantras. This whole obsession with work and nothing else is totally ridiculous
