I'm normally pretty good on my medical understanding but this one evades me. Can anyone explain it simply, in a factual way? Or direct me to a good website?
Thanks! Xoxo

Hi Zosie,
There's a lot of information online about hypothyroidism & hyperthyroidism, & various other endocrine disorders. I'm not sure if there's a link between FM & any hormone related condiions, although they are common.
Blood & urine tests should flag up any endocrine abnormalities, though the NHS range of what's healthy might not necessarily be your personal norm.

At the moment any link is tenuous. and we are encouraging people with Fibro to either have a look at the research and make their own decisions but please remember there is little proven in the realms of positive action that can be taken to lighten our loads. We have fibro we have to learn to live with it Remain positive hopeful and always live within our restrictions and our resources

Thanks Foggy, Leverette and Gins. It's reassuring to hear what you say as I've read some posts which seem it imply fibro is an unrecognised thyroid issue which I don't agree with. I've always viewed fibro as a nerve receptor issue.
Thanks for clarifying. And Gins you are right, it's better to stop looking for other causes and accept fibro for what it is.
Hope all three of you are having good days
