This may be of interest to many of you who also suffer from IBS.

I, too, suffered this to a very debilitating degree but decided to radically alter my diet. I cut out all pop and anything else containing asparmante and also MSG (as one of my cousins advised me to do, having had this pinpointed as the cause of her own medical problems). The result is that after almost a year of deleting these items from my diet, I have been, predominantly, IBS free. Here's the link: dailyherald.com/article/201...

Thanks for posting. Interesting. Not sure about aspartame and MSG. Don't think I eat / drink much of either as I don't eat many processed foods or fizzy drinks, but I'll be sure to avoid them now. I did suffer from IBS but have cut out wheat from my diet and am pretty much tummy trouble free. I take Magnesium tablets too and that is good for me. Not sure about link between bowel and fibro. So many theories about fibro. Wish they'd hurry up and figure it out!

Hi Dee, thanks for replying to my question :) I've read that it can help with nerve fibres so I might give it a try, as long as it isn't contra indicated to anything else that I need to take. Xoxo
