This article may be of interest to some of you Fibromyalgia: Work and Disability

After reading many posts from members that are struggling with work and sickness and thought this article useful in particular the first page and wish I'd had something like this that I could use as a guide.

It gives a list of things that an employer can change to help you in your workplace and things you can do also.

This is taken from the American Web MD so the latter 2 pages won't be of use to those of us from Europe where it discusses American disability benefits but some of the information regarding appeals is still relevant :)

Hi Ken

Thank you for your reply I wish I had access to something like that when I was still working and struggling.

How are you and your wife? Sorry valentine's day was plagued by pain and fatigue and sincerely hope you both feel better :) :) :) Also apologies for not getting back to you.

I've not been too grand either but am settling now the air pressure and wind have settled. I get the WebMD e-mails so had also read it but I like to tag certain things of interest for other members.

Sending healing fluffies for you both and wishing you both warmth and comfort :)

Hi zeb73

I am so sorry to hear that you have been suffering as well, the air pressure seems to affect a lot of us, it gives me really bad migraines.

The WebMD website is really good, I also have the emails and newsletters from Medi-org. It has lists of all the medications and their side effects etc. I really enjoy reading it. It has come in handy twice on the forum whereby people have asked their GPs about a medication for themselves.

You take care my friend

Thanks for sharing this article zen, I am still working and really struggling not surey work place will go for any of the suggestions as I am in quite a physical and mentally stressful job, I will certainly try,I have even looked at medical retirement but apparantly its nearly impossible to prove permenancy :-((( and they would prob just sack me in the best case scenario for medical ineffiecency, which I cannot afford as I have a mortgage and two children to care for , so thank you it is. Worth a try! Xxx
