Hope this helps, make sure though that no full stops appear as that ruins them, sometimes on my iPad it puts them in and I have to remove them to make them work again.....good luck

Sorry, if you've not done it before the above probably doesn't make much sense
So, for a happy or sad smiley you need to use a colon ':' and the relevant bracket, ')' or '('
When you put the two together, without spaces between them, they automatically make the smiley. So a colon and bracket : ) when typed without spaces will make the smiley
You won't see them appear until you've pressed the 'reply' button.
Hope this makes sense, but let me know if not

P.S. Use a semi-colon ';' with the ')' for a winky smiley face

if you hover over a face with your cursor it will tell you how it is made
there is a little devil but he doesnt seem to work >
