I was on duty this afternoon in our village community shop, it was our Village Fayre Day, which is a mammoth do. I usually get involved in the catering of course, but said I didn't want to this year and then was asked to do a pretty long (6 hours) duty.

There I was busy in spurts, early on in came a group of children, about eight of them aged under 12 I would think, anyway, they all got what they wanted and went off to get drenched at the Fayre. A few hours later the same group reappeared and were again dashing around getting their sugar fixes, as they were about to leave on girl came up to me and said " this is the coolest shop ever and you are awesome " and do you know, that really really made my day, just those few words lifted my spirits no end. Bless that little girl whoever she is :-) I wish I had let her know how much that comment meant to me.
