Just when I thought things were going well I was sick nothing to worry about I was at a knitting group in a cafe I felt unwell got in to the loo in time .The thing is before I had cancer I would have gone to work then on to the Christmas Fayre I was going to help at and not told them I'd been sick .Not this time this time I went in said I had been sick and I was going home and the same for the Fayre then spent most of the day asleep I think I'm just annoyed with myself some things you can not work through and it's okay to say I that I'm not okay and need to rest I do not have to do every thing and the world will not fall apart if I take the time to look after myself. Fud that's like fudge but with fewer letters it makes me laugh I made peanut butter fud nice bit sweet easy to make sugar + milk boil for 2 1/2 mins then add peanut butter done Never happy with just following a recipe I always have to change some thing so Fud 2 Sugar free white chocolate nicer Fud 3 sugar free milk chocolate ? Love and hugs to all .

Good morning. What rotten luck the sickness seems to strike at the worst of moments. I do applaud you going home you did the right thing but you know that I hope the rest has helped and you are feeling much better now. :) Gentle hugs to you xx ginsing

Sorry to hear that you have been ill. It is awful when you have to miss out on things and helping other people but I have learnt the lesson now that sometimes I just have to look after myself and not struggle on as things will be twice as bad. By you going to sleep for the rest of the day it shows that your body was saying it needed the rest.

Your fud sounds moreish.x

The thing is, if you take care of yourself when you need to you will be back to (fibro) normal quicker, it is more efficient

Like taking your car to the garage when a problem arises rather than being towed away when you break down.

But, there is always a price to pay, usually an emotional one.

Love your name,flowerdragon .

Good for you flowergarden. If no one knows we are sick they can't help us to take care of ourselves. And taking that first step like you did and believing in yourself and taking care of your needs helps me know that we are all capable of the same.

We often get more worried about letting other people down, by saying we are feeling unwell, than staying put and suffering, which does no-one any good, least of all ourselves. As said before, be true to yourself. If you have to, let people down gently, but better to tell them you are ill, than muddle through. xx Hugs to all.
