Ho hum, having a nice time in my garden last week doing dead heading of my cosmos flowers, but got stung by a bee. Now I've gone and got cellulitis around the area of my foot that was stung and boy does it hurt ! Now I'm on heavy duty antibiotics and tummy is definitely not appreciating it at all.

How dare a bee have the audacity to sting me after I've provided all the lovely flowers to give them the nectar........ Cheeky Bees !!!

Slurping probiotics in an attempt to ease it :-). But then have to starve again cos they have to be taken four times a say on an empty stomach, do three lychees a meal make ? ;-)

Yup thanks gins, but living alone have to get up and about to do things and its our village fair on Sat and I have 200 scones to make for the cream teas, and meringues for the cake stall. Then I've scored a treat, can go and man the village shop all afternoon, but with the forecast I think I've got pole position. (with leg up of course) !!

Sorry to hear about your poor leg, take good care, do you really have to make all those scones now that you are poorly? Don't over do it! x

Yup Mary, I do, normally I would say "I can do them standing on my head with my eyes shut " - I used to have my own tea rooms years ago so am fine at churning them out, just going to be a bit more tricky, but no doubt I'll get through it, I always do, hey ho...... at least I don't have to serve them....... Hoorah !!!! Fair Day in our village is a very big thing and everyone, but everyone get dragged into it in some way or other, last year I did make a stand and didn't do the scones, someone else offered thank goodness, but it was fortuitous as that morning I had a phone call to say my father had been transferred into ICU and I had to dash up to Surrey to see him, he died four days later :-( :-( :-( so its not a great time for me at the moment, best just get on with it.

Poor Foggie - the bees are most ungrateful! Don't worry about starving yourself, and 3 lychees do not constitute a meal.

Antibiotics tend to be absorbed more quickly if taken just prior to eating, but you don't have to be completely empty, and there is some evidence that the tummy upsets are reduced if the drug is taken, then followed shortly by a meal, a glass of milk or substantial snack.

Hope you're feeling a bit better by now!
