If you do not attend, they can stop your benefit, regardless of a doctors letter. I would suggest phoning the office to explain........maybe, they could arrange an interview by phone instead.

Good luck.

I would definitely give them a ring or get a letter with your doctors sick note enclosed put through the door or posted so that they get it in good time. As you have good reason I doubt very much that they will stop any money, your sick note is definitely acceptable reason. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I have been unable to attend the last 2 appointments due to illness, I just phoned up the girl i see and let her know and she is fine with it and just sends out another appointment, dont know if they are all the same maybe im lucky but u would think that they would understand that u have an illness that will stop u on some occasion. Give them a call and see what they say

Are you appealing? I was given a WRAG appointment but was told I didn't need to attend whilst my appeal was going through.

I have a brilliant guy at my local job-centre he rings me the day before my appointment and just asked me how am I doing then he puts it down that I have seen him. He always says "why are you here are they totally thick" well that is what we all would like to know is't it. Ring the peer son who you usually see and they should put it through that they have had a conversation with you. Good luck I know how you feel about this. Yet if we were a drunk or a drug taker we would be put in the support group .
