Hi Lally glad you got a sence of humour hun, then you can have a chuckle when I tell you Fibrositis is the old fashioned term for Fibromyalgia.

When I told my rheumy I had been told at 16 I had fibrositis he said(now 58) same problem longer name.

ive just read all my replies and i started laughing like a drain!!!

havent done that for ages....I kept thinking while i was reading - oh yes forgot about the foot problem and ibs etc etc.. what do we sound like? i think that fibro is the weirdest illness - for me it will settle generally in a couple of places at a time and then move on.

I was having investigations for my knees, my shoulder and bladder (geez i forgot about the irritable bladder !) gentle hug and giggles for you all

All this is down to Fibro. I've forgotten what it's like to be the old me now. :( I'm 43 years and I swear I feel as though I'm 93. It's tough going. But hey ho...I have to keep smiling and Like you Lally, I've still got a sense of humour. Soft hugs to all of you. :) x

Hi Everyone!

I’m a fibro sufferer also, came upon this post, didn’t realize it is in the UK, or that it was a 5 year old post. Anyway I’m in the US and a 62 year old woman diagnosed about 9 years ago with fibro.

I don’t talk about it around here because people generally feel like if you “look” alright, then you can’t be suffering. I’m so glad to know I’m not alone. I also have a triple fusion in my cervical spine , as well as many other health issues, but think the fibro makes me a homebody.

Thanks for listening, and I’ll be glad to speak with anyone.

it hurts if you sit around, and ithurts if you stand up and walk. my ankles feel like i have twisted them, cannot lay on left side as everything on the left hurts.have to keep moving about to get comfy in bed, but i can sleep i sleep very deeply and they have given me a CPAP machine as oxygen levels drop when i'm asleep.

but i'm the same as Lally i have a sense of humour.

soft hugs to everyone xx
