hi there don't be worried I had the same last week and was scared to, I hate tests and being questioned and got myself really wound up before my appointment it turned out I had nothing to worry about the psycholagists doing the tests was lovely I was told immeditatly after that I did not have demetia although I do have problems that are to be followed up,do you have someone going with you I did and it made so much of a difference even if you can get a friend to accompany you I hope all goes well for you.xx

Oh Bernie, I do hope it turns out ok, take heart and let's hope and pray dementia is not the diagnosis, and even if it is it must be in the early stages and there is so much more help these days if things are caught early.

i am so sorry about your situation - i hope you are ok. I have to go to my local hospital on 21st to check out what is causing my memory problems - i have done the tests at my gp surgery and he has arranged this albeit i have waited about 3 months for the appointment and i am taking my friend with me.

I'm in the same boat as you Belinda. I had tests st the GP and the rheumatologist, so I was referred to the neurologist. I have been waiting 3 months and my appointment for the 21st of August has now been moved to September sometime.

My memory problems are really bad, and its gone over into not being able to tell the time, spelling issues, counting and number issues.

Bernie, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this trying time.

Berni,having fibro can make you feel like your starting with dementia believe me I know .Its easy to say Dont worry because you can't help but worry ,but as someone else said there is help .I pray that all goes well please let us know how you get on .x
