I went to aqua this week and was explaining to the instructor that I have fibro. A lady overheard and she has too. Same situation, diagnosis and goodbye. She was telling me she is claiming PIP and has a blue badge and urged me to do the same. Hubby is as well but I'm reluctant to. I'm working full time.

If you wonder if you are eligible for PIP go to gov.uk/pip-checker. this will help you work out if you can claim. It is payable weather you work or not. It is all about your personal independence if you need help come back to me you can message me if you need me Good luck x gins
PIP or what was DLA or a Blue badge, neither have anything to do with wether you work or not, or what your condition is, for that matter, it depends on how your condition effects your daily life.
My advice to anyone would be to claim anything, they can only say no…. and if its yes you are a winner so to speak.
Why are you reluctant to claim, I don't understand? Be warned though, both the blue badge applications and PIP are very long forms, but if you are entitled to them, why shouldn't you have them xx
Good morning all. Thanks for the advice. I have made a claim by phone this morning and they are sending forms to me.
Obviously you guys know the effect fibro has on people and we are all affected in different ways. But I think I was reluctant to admit I need help. That darned independent streak! But as has been pointed out I have nothing to lose.
