We moved back in May and had to change our doctors. I was very apprehensive due to being at my previous surgery for years. I have not been feeling well the last couple of months off and on and after my sore throat episode and recent pompholyx, which has eased a little now on my feet, I thought hopefully that's the last of it. Hubby and I had to do a fasting blood test + urine tests as new patients (they are really good). His came back ok, I received a letter asking me to make an appointment and see the GP. I did that at the end of last week. Ok, it turns out my cholesterol was 7.2, white blood cells are still elevated, seem to have been forever like this and the next thing which came out of the blue was "you have chronic kidney disease". Bit shocked really. Apparently I have protein in my kidneys and I am at stage 1&2 of chronic kidney disease. Have been put on simvastatin to get my cholesterol down and I will be monitored on the ckd. I have to go back before the end of August to have another fasting blood test and urine test. It never rains, but it pours. Doctor did say that the symptoms are not really noticeable. But I have to say that I have been under the weather for a while now.
If any of you have experienced any of this, I would greatly appreciate your words of wisdom.
