Can anyone suggest something to help ... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Can anyone suggest something to help me please. I trapped a nerve in my groin/leg today and the pain is going all down my left side.
Are you sure that it is a trapped nerve, I always have
Pain on my left side.
When I have a flare it gets so bad at the top of my leg
I can't bend it to sit down, it also runs down my leg and
My knee top of my foot into my back bottom and groin.
It's is extremely painful can't walk. And I suppose it does feel
A bit like a trapped nerve.
I'm not saying that yours is not a nerve but the pain is deep
In the mussel and hard to tell.
Hope it gets better soon go to your doctor we should never
Think every thing is fibro, I only know that mine is as it seems
To get to the most painful and the bit by bit it gets better i could not cope with life with out pain medication

Hiya
I've been diagnosed with Fibro but am fairly new to the site. Just to say I've been having horrendous pain on my right side. I had spasms a bit like an electric shock every few minutes and a pain that went deep into my groin. I was in agony, but I made myself walk into town, limping most of the way and moving at a snails pace, and gradually by the afternoon the pain in my groin had eased up a bit. The pain in my side has been grumbling on and off for months now.
Hope it eases up soon.

Hi all
It sounds to me like sciatica which I get regularly and which hurts like hell. It often goes with fibro, have a google search and read up about it.

Hi
If you can take it ibuprofen is good for sciatica like pain. It is an anti inflammatory rather than a true painkiller. Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for all your suggestions. I did go to see my doctor and he thinks I have a slipped disk. He has put me on 10mg oramorph every 3 hours for the pain, I have been on this for 6 days now. I am finally getting some relief from the pain, so I am going to cut down on the morphine as I have been on it before and I know how addictive it can be.I go for a massage every 2 weeks so I will see what she suggests and maybe she can help with some manipulation or something on Wednesday.I just hope its not going to last much longer, all I did was carry my wash basket up the garden !!! I should know better by now. Thanks again for your replies. Katy xx
