I wish I could afford to because it most certainly does help, wish they could prescribe it on the NHS.

Found it helps too x

I had what was supposed to be an Indian head massage, but the beauty therapist mostly massaged my neck and shoulders. It did help a lot but there's no way I could afford one every week. Foggy is right ~ they should be available on the NHS

Thank you Coz, I'm pleased someone else agrees, my dr (who is great) would like to refer me but is constrained by funding, he sassy he could refer me for chiropractic but not osteopath, saying he would be medically negligent if he did as I also have osteoporosis and have had fractures of the spine. All I want for heaven's sake is massage, is that too much to ask........ my shoulders and neck are solid most of the time.

Hi Foggy

I'm fairly new on here and have looked through quite a few posts. I've found your opinions and advice very helpful. I have, amongst shed loads of other problems four wedges in my spine (I can't remember what they're called - duh!) and my pain is unbearable. I can't imagine what pain you must be in with fractures in your spine. My shoulders and neck are rock solid too - mostly through stress and pain. I had a wonderful GP but he left my surgery last month so goodness only knows how I'm going to cope now.

Oh Coz, thank you so much for your kind words, im never sure whether I'm helpful or not, but i always try to be truthful to my knowledge. Your back "wedges" wouldn't be compression fractures would they? It sounds pretty nasty for you anyway, do you get spasms ? I'm sorry your wonderful GP left, I would be bereft if Barry departed, think I might just have to move to follow him ;-) ;-) I will just hope for you that the new GP you get proves to be as understanding and helpful as the previous one. :-) :-)

Hi Foggy

All I know is that I had a fall and landed on my right hip and ever since then the pain is just constant. To be honest I personally think that the more we share of our own issues and pass on tips that help us, what more could you ask? Everyone on here knows what the pain, brain fog etc etc is like whereas "normal" people don't have a clue. I was going to ask you if you've tried Deep Freeze Cold Spray? I decided to give it a go a few weeks ago as I just couldn't cope with the pain any more, and it does give me albeit very short lived relief for a while. Boots sell it.

Anyway, yes I do think your advice is great and I love this site where I can come and chat and feel like a proper human being again.

I've been so tearful this week and I have no idea why. It's been a dreadful week for me. I could barely get out of bed on Monday and was having a lot of trouble getting into an upright position. I hate my children seeing me like this. Their dad died suddenly 2 years ago and even though I know Fibro is not fatal, they worry about me so much.

I haven't seen Ladymoth? comment on anything recently. She always has good sound advice too.

I think a lot of people are struggling with the new format of this website. I've taught lessons on computers but I've found this new format very difficult to follow.

It would be lovely to chat to you some more if you don't mind telling me about your journey?

I decided to call the last 3 years which have been horrendous for me, my journey. It feels good to have a name for it! Does that sound a bit odd to you? Please be honest.

Coz xx
