Juicer ? or not ?

Does anybody out there do juicing and found any benefits ? I'm thinking of increasing my fruit and veg intake and lowering the rest? I need to be better informed about nutrition so any advice would be appreciated x

I m very lazy and buy pure fruit juice and veg from the local supermarket but by drinking more fruit juice and cutting out the fizzy drinks with artificial sweetners I have found my IBS is much better

Hope you get some good results whether you buy a juicer or or go for the ready done cartons

Good luck VGx

I love juice but tend to buy ready made saves on so much mess around the place hope you enjoy yourself. Once you open the cartons

Juices are lovely, but bear in mind that especially with fruit juice, it's very, very easy to take in far more calories than you would imagine!

There's also the fact that if you eat your fruit and veg instead of juicing them, you get more fibre, more 'eating time' which is psychologically pleasurable, and a better feeling of fullness.

I do agree with VG, tho', that a drop of juice topped up with some water is far better than artificially sweetened squashes and rubbish like that.

Personally, I wouldn't bother buying a juicer. They are expensive and absolutely hellish to clean - mine ended up stuck in the cupboard gathering dust, and I gave it to a charity shop in the end.

A few cartons are OK for the odd drink, but nutritionally speaking, you're better off chewing your way through your '5 per day'!

I wasted money on a juicer it's now in the back of the cupboard, I agree with ladymoth they are hellish to clean, and to be honest dontngetnme taste any better than the fresh cartons, I can't chew on hard things although I like apples ect they re out as the fibro has affected my teeth nerve endings, as gumpy says mae sure you avoid the sweeters , there not good for fibro suffers especially if we have ibs, sometimes the fruit makes my IBS worse, wishing ou all a great day gentle hugs Dee x
