Sobbing because of pain.
hi emjane, I'm sorry you are having such a rough time. what has your gp said?
I'd give your consultants secretary a call and see if you can see him.
sandra.
Morning Emjane,
I hope you managed some rest last night. Sandra is right try and get to see you Doc tell him all about it. I did this some time ago I went to a childrens sports day and proceeded to cry at every thing - not good! I know how bad the pain can be -as we all do- definitely time to talk to someone. Good luck let us know how you get on xgins
I had phenytoin just over a week ago its not helping its made me worse! I'm still waiting to hear from my consultants secretray. My GP told me I was la la when I told him about my pain before I was diagnosed and the other doctors are just as bad.
Is there another GP surgery near you ... A sympathetic understanding GP is half the battle..
I really think you need to find one who is more approachable .... And it sounds obvious that phenytoin is not for you... When you were so much better with the first infusion .....
Sandra has offered some good advice ... Phone your consultants secretary if your GP is not very helpful

Lidocaine was wonderful for the first month and a bit. I rang the secretary on Tuesday and she said she would call back. So its a waiting game now xx
Hope you don't have to wait too long for someone to get back to you, hang on in there. x
I know exactly what you are going through, because I`m in the same state as you, and it isn`t pleasant, in fact, it was thought I had a DVT, and I spent 5 hours up the hospital, not clever when you feel so exhausted anyway, however love, chin up, sending you lots of hugs and tender thoughts , and remember, perhaps not right now, but it will get better, at least for a little while, enough to give you a breather.

I know where you're coming from on this- pain really wears you down. I hope you will find something that will help you soon.
Was in tears in the GPs surgery yesterday as my back was excrutiatingly painful - always in pain with it but the last few weeks have been horrendous. I now have an appointment for more accupuncture & a prescription for di-hydrocodiene - both of which only ever seem to numb the pain a bit but have never, ever taken it away. I live in hope that one day something will work for me.
