My very aged dog called Jess short for Jester although she has never been very funny. Bless her had to have her put down this morning her sight had gone with double cataracts and she kept bumping into things and cowering when things moved near her. She was sixteen years old and she passed gently away.
My other dear dog Sussie is only 5 years old and misses her but she will get more cuddles and fuss.
So I am in a rather somber mood please cheer me up xgins

Oh gins I am so sorry I wondered why you had slipped out of the volunteers hut quietly.. I thought you had been at the gin again with moffy and fallen out ...
Oh no! Sorry to hear that as a three dog owner I understand you feeling low today...gentle hugs xx
Sorry to hear that, Gins - it's always hard to say goodbye to a beloved pet - even if you know it's for the best! Glad you have your other wee dog to cheer you up!
Love, Moffy x
So sorry to hear this news Gins,my thoughts are with you, hugs xxx
I'm so sorry to hear this, it's always so difficult to lose a family pet, more so than people understand - they are like part of the family as well as becoming the most loyal, caring companions we could have.
I wish there was something I could say or do to make you feel better. I could imagine it's also a lot quieter now. Hopefully Sussie will be a good distraction and act as good therapy and comfort for you.
so sorry to hear that Gins. when i had to have my dog put to sleep the vets which i used sent me a card with a lovely poem in and also a packet of forget me nots - maybe u could plant something that will be there to look at.
Oh Gins, my heart goes out to you. Even when we know it's the very best thing we can do for our beloved pets it's heartbreaking, isn't it. Just know you made the right decision to take away her fear and suffering and the sadness will soon turn into fond memories. Take care x
so sorry to hear this.i know what you are going thru as I had to have my Max put to sleep 28 dec 2006,it was the hardest thing ever but I had to be strong for my other dog who missed him terribly.they are a member of your family .I shall never forget my Max.remember all the special moments and good times you had.a friend of mine sent me the most lovely poem and we received loads of sympathy cards -thats how well loved Max was.
Gins I am so sorry for you in your time of sadness, dogs offer unconditional love, unlike family. You did the right thing at the right time, when you feel ready get the photos out and remember the wonderful times you had together, she will still be around you. Sending you strength, love and hugs, we are all allowed to have quiet times filled with memories xx
Hi Gins, I know How bad it feels ! I lost my beloved pet dog Molly in jan this year and still miss her so much she would have been 15 but being a rescue We only had her 14 years ,We have to remember the good times we had with them and that they are proberbly running around in heven doing what they like best and that helps me a little, also knowing they had a lovely life while we are with them !!
Because some animals have a terrable life and a lonely one ? My molly didnt have a very good life before we found her ! or before she found us !!!1 because I always felt she chose us !!!! and felt very lucky that she did. XX
