As far as I know tribunals are actually public so anyone can go in. You can have 2 types of people with you, a witness (who can speak up for you when invited) or just an observer - for moral support. I do hope it goes well, I am still waiting for a date for mine. If taking a witness I believe that you DO have to inform the tribunal beforehand, but someone who is just there for moral support can, to the best of knowledge go with you without being named on the court papers. x
thats great thanks love sooooooooo worried now its getting closer .good luck with yours ive had mine 2 month its not fair all this xx
I went to a tribunal last July - my partner came in with me - they were very good - do not rush you - and because I was having great difficulty on the day - they asked my patner to come back in for the decission on my behalf. Thankfully they found in my favour - hope all goes well for you. (My partner did answer some questions on my behalf and they were happy to listen to what he had to say - so I would say it does help to have someone with you who knows how difficult things are for you) Good luck.
Hi chicme if you email

The rule of thumb is the 6 P's Planning and preparation Prevents P**s Poor Performance Try to gather as much supporting evidence as possible i.e. How your disability affects you, arguments to the DWP's refusal etc and put it into some form of submission. Remember through! If you are going to put a submission into the Tribunals Service it must be with them 7 DAYS before the hearing...
Good luck with the appeal and please keep us advised.
