lumps on arches of feet
You should get your doc to have a look, as it sounds like you may have a neuroma. These are benign overgrowths of nerve tissue which can be very sore.
Alternatively, you may have arthritis in your feet - it's common and extremely painful, however there are several effective treatments.
Fibro does not cause swellings or lumps, so you do need to go and get this checked!

In addition to the FM, I have, (or had!) osteo malacia and / or extreme pain in my foot bones, which eventually stopped me walking more than a few yards. A foot specialist x rayed my feet and told me that there was no significant arthritis.
I then got the FM typical, 'I can't find it, so you haven't got it', look.
In fact my arches fell and because i was constantly, 'crabbing', the bones in my feet, (curling the toes and walking on my heels), I too developed, over only a few months), ridges of very hard skin, on the bottom of both feet and big toes, which made the pain ten times worse. It felt like walking on broken glass and was self-reinforcing - the more pain, the more crabbing, the more skin ridge build up., the more pain...
I recently visited a chiropodist who cut the skin build ups away and i now concentrate on walking with my foot splayed out normally in my shoe and on my heels.
The pain is now a great deal less.
This was just my experience.
thanks all i do find it very painfull walking just now and will let the dr have a look x
