i went to check my bank acc on thursday and there was a lot of in my acc and they said it was dla but i have not received my letter

Yeah I got my back pay on the Wednesday and my letter following Monday!

I asked the dwp why they don't send a letter out and they said it was a matter of confidentiality, in case someone other than yourself opens the letter. I cannot believe the stupidity of the dwp.

They can and do suddenly stop your money without warning, because of the confidentiality thing they can't send you a letter to inform you.

I had a ESA payback a few months ago. Id been put in the WRAG and knew nothing about it until I phoned them, thinking theyd made a mistake...surely not??!!!!!..... I got a letter AFTER the phone call, which meant I had wasted my credit phoning them, when they could have let me know where the money had come from. "Cost cutting". You now have to be clairvoyant if youre on benefits,haha
