After 11 months, 2 appeals, a tribunal where they lost my files, an ATOS medical and then today.

Phew very very hard work, but got there in the end :)

Thanks, such a hard slog though.

I know the feeling. Mine took 11 months too and after tribunal in July I was awarded low rate Dla. However as my condition had continued to deteriorate, the tribunal recommended I apply for a suppression. I am still waiting to hear back although myself and a fellow social worker keep chasing it.

Might be off to MP in the New Year if I still haven't heard.

Hi Jom277,

Do you have a social worker to help you with your FMA? Just I have applied for one and been refused. I saw a OT as my doctor requested one for as walking was becoming a challenge the OT told me I needed a social worker then when I told the social worker what the OT said I was called a liar.

Thanks

Susan

That's what happened to me. Don't give up, they want people to give up I'm sure. I felt so strongly about it this time. Appeal and stick with it. Good luck

I've only got it for 3 years though, and one year of that has already past, while appealing. Not quite sure what happens after the 3 yrs pass because it will be PIP then. Just hoping I don't have to go through all the paper work and appeals, tribunal etc. it's been very hard on me, totally took over my life for a year. Very frustrating and emotional.
