Hi I saw my rheumy today (I have RA, secondary vasculitis and secondary fibro) and he is going to refer me to pain clinic specialist and a pain clinic psychologist - what I can expect from this?

Thank you.

Hi Nina,

I found the pain clinic very helpful. The clinical psychologist doesn't delve into your past, etc but works with you to help you deal with the emotions that chronic pain gives us. It is a CBT approach. My first appointment was an hour long and we discussed how fibre made me feel, how it affected my life, etc. I was then given a place on a FMS management programme which did help.

Hugs
