Painful day

Having a bad day with pain today in my neck shoulders , got hot water bottle on my neck and taking pain killers any more helpful ideas please, I hate this fibro never know when you are going to get a flair up and for how long or where. Gentle hugs everyone. X

I used to take diazepam on days of really painful muscle spams I also have injections in my neck and shoulders but these are late so at the moment because I don't want to keep popping diazepam I bought some deep heat muscle rescue its a neck and shoulder cream smells of rosemary and vanilla is not as hot as original deep heat and works wonders ... I really didnt think it would...

It's available at boots but cheaper online at amazon if you choose free delivery.... It's only a pain reliever not a cure but its better than the weight of the hot pack on my shoulders

Yes - that Deep Heat is very nice - even the smell is soothing!

You could try alternative hot water bottle and then ice the area, ten minutes each turn. It's supposed to be better at taking down inflammation.

If you can bear to raise yoru arms over your head and out sideways and roll your head from side to side very carefully and slowly these things may take the tension away a bit. I am beating these shoulder and neck pains by doing gentle stretching and posture excercises.

Ask your GP or physio first though.

Should have shares in deep heat, me. Use it most days as maxed on current meds. Thank goodness seeing doc friday. Sad but cant wait!xx
