Awaiting FET after miscarriage. Trying for number 2, a sibling for my son.

Hello all out there having trouble conceiving, it is the hardest thing i have ever been through and it is so good to have a place to chat.

Im awaiting my period so i can start a FET cycle. I unfortunately miscarried at 12 weeks (missed miscarriage) an ivf baby and have been devastated.

Im trying to keep positive but im not sure fet will work as it didnt last time and to be honest i think i'm still getting over the MC.

The poll done was interesting... I was feeling positive then a friend called me to tell me she was 13 weeks pregnant after trying for just 2 months.., sent me soooo low again.

BUT on a good note... IVF does work, i have a gorgeous son already (now 2) from IVF and the last ivf did work... But miscarried. Im having a laparoscopy and hiscoscopy if the fet doesnt work then ivf sgain.... Hard to keep it together really with all that ahead....

So so want to be pregnant again and desperate for a sibling for my son... Is anyone else in the same boat? Id love to chat

Hi Loobeloo,

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how hard it is to mc and how cruel it is, as many years ago when I was a teen I also had a mc.

I do not have children myself and am desperate to complete our family. But I can certainly imagine and understand your want and need to complete your family and give your son a sibling.

Ivf is tough on a womans body, I myself have just had our first cycle cancelled as my body was not responding, now I have to wait also. This is time to heal though. You will be in a better physical and mental health and sometimes I think the latter can be more important.

So I would say that you should use it to prepare yourself.

Thanks so much for your message and I really love that quote....

It's so right!

Yes waiting is so tough, it's the hardest biit of ivf.

I hope you are feeling okay, I'm trying to keep busy and have asked friends to keep me busy too. They don't know I'm getting assisted conception help and are unaware of previous ivf but the know about the rest.
