FET For Number 2

Currently gearing up for another FET for a potential sibling 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

I feel soo out the IVF loop, I last had treatment Aug 2020.

Any FET tips? I briefly remember pom juice, Brazil nuts & Vit E before transfer. But if anyone else has any pearls of wisdom I'd love to hear them.

And any cycle buddies starting mid Feb?

TIA

Xx

Hoping all goes well with your treatment Just take it a step at a time like you did previously t Once you start it will all come flooding back to you !

Good luck & take care of yourself

Janet-Partner

standard prenatals, vitamin D, folic acid. Try to reduce stress levels, acupuncture and reflexology might help. Pomegranate juice, beetroot, 3 Brazil nuts a day. Stop vitamin E after transfer.

Make sure you get clinic to monitor progesterone levels before transfer just in case you need to add in lubion or increase dose of suppository.

Good luck to you x

I’m currently on CD11 of our 3rd FET trying for #2. We started back in Sept and have fingers crossed it’s 3rd time lucky for us!

I also had IVF back in Jul2020 and can’t believe how quickly time has flown. It’s so different going through it with a toddler in tow compared to being totally focussed on yourself like the first time! I’ve just tried to cut out sugar, keep up some kind of exercise, take my vits and eat lots of veg. After our 2 FETs that didn’t work our doctor recommended using vaginal probiotics. There have been some recent studies supporting the benefits of probiotic support on implantation rates. Figured it couldn’t hurt so did some research and picked some up from Boots!

Good Luck with this round 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Which probiotics are you taking? Will definitely look into this! X

Hi, I should be starting my next FET in around a month so could be cycle buddies! I was told beetroot and pineapple around transfer. And if you are stopping caffeine do it in good time and before the progesterone is started - that is my very scientific nugget of FET advice!

Just about to start the first (and hopefully last) attempt for no. 2 myself, feel the same way. I think it’s all so traumatic that your brain erases as much as possible. Definitely a different feeling to the last time around though, my heart goes out to those still suffering through the first journey. Contact me for a little bit of support or anything else whenever! I’m a bit pee’d off at the moment, I apparently didn’t pay an invoice in the preferred manner and they are trying to charge me over £70 for my trouble 🤨

Just went through a miscarriage for 1st try of sibling. The tips are you need to manage your time between little toddler, work and treatment. It is better to have a bit more support if your parents are close by. Your body could be different compare with a few years ago, so be natural and to accept any possible results. I am going to start the 2nd try in April/May. I need to take a break and also to take my little boy for his first ski! Another tip is keep your normal family life going as usual to reduce the pressure from ivf. Good luck 👍

Hi! I’ve just started the process for #2 after successful fresh in 2019 resulting in my 4yo boy 😊.

I’m on day13 of meds, and a bit delayed as yesterday my lining was not measuring as it should yet (they want it at least 7, and I was 6.5), so I have to come back for another scan on Saturday morning and if it all ok be called by embryologist for a FET date (possibly the following week).

I also feel like I'm in a fog, I don't remember much about 2019 process and tips and I'm experiencing it very differently. I think it's because I've already been through it and having a 4yo I can't focus entirely on this.

Even though I’m due to transfer a bit earlier than you, I would be happy to chat and share with you all 😊

Good luck and baby dust your way 💫❤️🥰

I'm also just starting another FET round hoping for a sibling... Last successful IVF was 2019 so feels very different. The only bit that my clinic has changed is that they routinely do a blood test to check progesterone before transfer.

I'm taking Optibac probiotics for women and continuing Ovum as that helped to give me my two euploids for FET.

Good luck 🤞🤞🤞

We are currently doing FET for baby number 3, we’re very lucky that 2 transfers in 2019 and 2021 has given us 2 healthy children 💫 baby number 1 was a frozen transfer and I was really strict with what I ate and drank, did accupuncture etc, number 2 I didn’t really have time for that as I had an 1 year old to look after, I just ate pineapple around transfer, took my vitamins and tried to keep busy! Will be doing the same this time, although the meds have changed from tablets to patches since my last transfer and they are definitely giving me less side effects. I have my lining scan on Sunday and then I will get my transfer date then! Hope everyone else is doing ok? It’s so nice chatting to others going through the same xx

Very best of luck with this round! In addition to many of the things already mentioned, I took probiotics (oral and vaginal) in the run up to my last FET, which was successful. That and some fertility reflexology to help me relax.

I’m the same also! My son was born in 2022 and we started the FET process back in august.. yet to be successful but hoping to have another embryo implanted at the start of feb🤞🏼 I spoke to an acupuncture clinic yesterday who was super honest and said I’m too late to start it for this cycle.. they advise at least a month before the transfer.. she said vitamin E which I have been taking but she also said to have a shot glass of organic beetroot juice daily. I have been having pomegranate juice however she’s suggested to add in the beets 🤞🏼 good luck to you and everyone else!!xx

I'm trying for a sibling, had my daughter in July 2020. Only got one embryo frozen, and due to have it transferred tomorrow, I'm quite anxious about it as there have been a number of hurdles to get to this point over the last year. I haven't eaten anything in particular, ideally my weight would be quite a bit lower than it is, but I am where I am now. I have been taking a pregnancy vitamin along with extra folic acid.

Good luck with your upcoming transfer :-)

Thank you, all went well and the embryo thawed nicely, so it's wafting about in there somewhere, hopefully it'll latch on soon 🤞

Hi Chloe, I’m also hoping to have my 2nd IVF baby after having my daughter in 2019. It’s very different getting back on the IVF rollercoaster after so long. I’m having my 4th FET at the end of the month. Although the last few rounds haven’t gone well I’m still going and hoping for another miracle! This round I’m giving it my all, doing yoga, having acupuncture and consulted with a nutritionist who said Vitamin D, Iron and Omega 3 are really important. So worth getting your Vit D and Iron levels checked to make sure you aren’t deficient in these. I’m also following a low fodmap diet to help lower inflammation. Wishing you and all the other ladies above all the best for your rounds Xx
