FET - lining at 5mm after 9 days of oestrogen and scan

Hey Ladies,

I thought I’d ask on here as I’ve been asking myself the questions and going around about it in my head. I’m preparing to have a FET and have been taking Estradiol tablets 200mg x 3 a day. I went to my scan on day 9 of taking the tablets but my lining isn’t quite there yet to start taking progesterone and measured at 5mm. The clinic has added estradiol patches ( to change every 2 days) to my plan now as well as taking the 3 a day estradiol tablets.

im now worrying that im probably taking too much oestrogen and could I potentially have too much of a thick lining By 24th March when they re-scan to check my lining. I’ve been thinking surely it shouldn’t take an extra week to increase thickness by 3mm? I always thought the lining should be around 8mm. I was wondering if I should ask for a scan in the next few days or trust they know what they’re doing 😭 and that if it is over 8mm I’d still be in a good position to have my frozen transfer 5-6 days later.

Hi Ree_Laine… my lining measured 6.4mm after 12 days of 3xday estradiol which was a Monday and they added the 2 patches to change every other day. I had another scan same week on Friday and my lining grew to 8.8mm. I wouldn’t worry and trust what they are doing.

Thank you for your reply and sharing your experience . You’re right I have to trust they know what they’re doing. Second FET so the lining didn’t thicken as much as the 1st time round within 9 days. I need to be more hopeful xx
