Has anyone ovulated on Cetrotide?

Hi, fairly new to all of this, I have low AMH 41yrs and male fertility problems so we are doing IVF with ICSI. Our first round was with high stims but I didn't respond so the cycle was cancelled. I found another clinic who do a natural modified cycle where they use low doses of stims and aim to retrieve one or two follicles. Cycle was being watched closely with two possibly good follicles however I ovulated whilst taking cetrotide. Has anyone else had this happen?

it happened to me but only my lead follicle released - I think the LH surge may happen between monitoring scans - my coordinator advised me to always inject around the same time every day and the centrotide needs to go in the fridge (middle shelf-to prevent freezing ) - hope it gives well.

Thank you for replying, the only day I was delayed in taking it, by about 90mins was the scan day. Neither follicles had reached optimum size but my bloods showed LH rise. I will see what they suggest for next cycle.

yes twice for me

My specialist said it happens to 1% of people

Both cycles had to be cancelled 😞

I ended up having to use a nasal spray

What protocol were you on if you don't mind me asking and with what meds? I'm waiting for the consultant to contact me with more information but I may ask about a nasal spray. Thank you

While I can't say for definite, I believe I did ovulate even after taking cetrotide during my nhs cycle.while I can't remember the exact measurements, I had a few large follicles ready to go but they held me off because they do 'batch' cycling meaning they line multiple women up for same time for retrieval. Even tho I'd taken my cetrotide I had severe ovary pain ( I always get this with ovulation) ovulation is so painful for me personally and I remember saying to my partner I swear I'm releasing eggs. On my scan during retrieval day .. of course those large follicles were missing. None of the remaining follicles were as big as the ones I had during my previous scans few days ago yet nobody would explain where did those large follicles go. Clearly those follicles were over mature and I ovulated them , the fact I had my usual ovulation pain is what makes me suspect that

Slightly reassuring knowing other people have ovulated whilst taking the drug but also frustrating as I've had two cycles cancelled before even getting to egg collection.
