Maybe an old wives tale but it will do you no harm esp if you like fresh pineapple Suggested after transfer for 5 days Important to have a healthy diet as well whole grain bread-pasts -rice Colourful veg and fruit Drink plenty of fluids Avoid too much sugar and processed foods
For me all the 3 transfers that I had Pineapple never work the two that's I just completely forgot it all worked for me. Clinics don't even advice for pinnaple consumption. I wouldn't advice anyone to try it instead I have always been on prmmergranat juice for a long.
Thank you! I know there's no scientific evidence about pineapple core, but a lot of articles talk about it potentially beneficial. Probably the same with pomegranate juice I would imagine. I can't imagine it will do any harm though. I have tried pomegranate juice for one of my transfers. I'll try anything at this point to be honest! 😄
took it with my son the day of and after transfer, had Brazil nuts too also had the McDonald’s fries cos ‘why not’ 🤣 didn’t have the pineapple for current pregnancy so it’s defo not needed but if you wanna try it and it makes you happy/you like pineapple why not 💜🤗 xx
Ooh yeah, I've heard about the fries tradition as well. Might give that a try - it can't hurt I suppose! Maybe I'll have a side order of pineapple and Brazil nuts as well and wash it all down with some pomegranate juice! 😄
I avoided it around transfer as with all the progesterone it can affect stomach. I had it the month before I started my transfer to make lining thinner as my lining was always too thick. I do recommend acupuncture near transfer and weeks leading up to it.
Oh that's interesting. I might not try it if it makes the lining thinner! Last scan I had showed my lining wasn't quite thick enough, but they booked my transfer in for 8 days later, so I'm hoping it has thickened enough now (transfer is tomorrow!)
Hi, and good luck with the transfer! 🙂In my recent experience I've learned that Beetroot is helpful for blood flow, (which can support implantation) and positive effects of beetroot has a lot of research evidence behind it....
I've been having a blended drink of beetroot, fresh ginger and watermelon after reading about this study (link below) (I use 'Beet it' juice which is organic and ready made for simplicity)...
"Incorporating foods that will boost the flow of oxygen & nutrient-rich blood to the uterus can help supplement women trying to conceive and could help improve chances of IVF success. One study found intake of a beetroot, watermelon, and ginger juice supplementation starting on embryo transfer day may improve embryo implantation into the uterus and increase clinical pregnancy rates."
Hi, I know that info is not specifically about pineapple, but added it anyway as you said you were keen to throw everthing into this cycle so thought you may find it helpful x
Also, what I think is underestimated is the placebo effect. So the idea that if you believe something will work it will work. Also known as self suggestion. So if you convince yourself that pineapple will help, it probably will . If nothing else you can convince yourself you have somehow power to change the outcome. 😂😱
Hi, an old wives tale, yes, but it does no harm so why not. As a fertility dietitian, here's an research study on beet, watermelon and ginger juice improving ICSI odds (can't see why it wouldn't be similar for IVF). Easy, fast and simple!
hello! I had it for the 5 days before transfer and 5 days after because I really liked it more than anything - she is 13 weeks today. Might be too late now but I also had vitamin d injections and b12 for 3 months before transfer. I had iron supplements too (vegetarian). Best of luck fir Saturday
