Cyclogest & liners vulvar irritation

Hello,I have been taking cyclogest for a couple of months. At the beginning it was causing me vulvar irritation which I managed by using 100% organic cotton liners and changing then very often. We spent almost 3 weeks during Christmas in another country and I was using different liners which caused irritation to come back. I am back to my normal liners and it has gotten better but it is still irritated and I was wondering if there is a cream of some kind I can use during pregnancy in my vulvar area. I asked the midwife but she didn't give much help... I have been looking into organic nappy creams but I am not sure if I could use them. Has anyone gone through this before and do you have any advice?

I was having issues with it vaginally and was told to use it rectally, it was honestly the best thing I did. No more leakages or irritation. Might be worth considering.

My nurse suggested to alternate vaginal and rectal insertion to not irritate neither of the places! May help?

I would highly recommend you try rectally. I know it sounds gross, but honestly it’s a game changer. You can just pop it in and carry on with your day without any mess or needing to change liners. Once you get over the first one it’s seriously so easy and you just get used to it. You can get finger cots as well to use x

Just as the others have said, when I was pregnant it was causing irritation and spotting so told to use rectally. I ended up alternating between the two areas as was causing irritation in both areas in the end.

I had the same issue with cyclogest, as other posters have suggested try rectally for a while or switch between the two. With regards to the irritation I just used thrush cream (canestan) to sooth. I hate those little waxy bullets!!

Thank you all. I will try rectally and hopefully it helps! 🤗
