High Amylase

I miscarried twins in September at just over 7 weeks. I had a D&C a week after the diagnosis. Three weeks later, I had to go back in due to abdominal pain. My right fallopian tube was inflamed, and I had ovulated from both ovaries. My amylase levels were also high, and after Googling, I found that this can sometimes be caused by tubal defects.

In December, I had a HyCoSy and a transvaginal ultrasound, which showed no blockages. I requested another amylase test, and it's still elevated. I've also had fluid in my womb ahead of two of my transfers, though this always clears with progesterone.

I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar or has any advice on what you’d do in my position?

Hi. So sorry to hear of your past losses, I have been reading up on early losses and the connection with high amylase. This happens when starches convert to sugar, so my thoughts are to cut out wheat, bread amd oats, whixh can lessen strain on immune system. Might be worth a try. Good to know your tubes have been checked. Good luck. Diane
