A lack of information given to me has made me feel confused over what to expect.
I was told in EPU to expect my period to arrive 28 days after the miscarriage and it might be heavier. As the contents of the pregnancy are gone I can try after my period.
Yesterday and through the night I was doubled over with period cramps.
Today I have spotted blood but my period is not due for another ten days. Is this normal?
It may still be something from the pregnancy and everyone is different on when they get period. Don't need to get medical help unless you're bleeding really heavy or the pain gets really bad. You may want to get your hcg levels checked as that's an indicator that everything has passed. They want them to be back to normal ie. under 5 before they would think about an ivf cycle so it would probably be the same with you trying naturally. Sorry you're having to go through this. X
The scan showed no evidence of a Pregnancy. I also had a urine test which showed negative. The cramps are painful but not unmanageable. If it gets worse then I'll call the doctor. xoxo
After I miscarried last year, I'd stop bleeding and then started again I had bad cramps to the point I had to get pain relief from the GP. They told me it was still from the pregnancy and even though my test was negative I could expect clots/blood on and off for up to 2 weeks. Hope things ease off for you, id always say ring your GP if it helps ease your mind xx
I was told there was no evidence of a Pregnancy which I assume I lost it all when I bled. I was just over 4 weeks pregnant when it was lost. Perhaps I will call for reassurance. Thank you and I'm sorry you've had to suffer a loss it is heartbreaking 💔 xoxo
Thank you, sorry for yours to it really is heart aching and I found there was little support or help for what we went through. I don't think there's any harm in ringing, you don't need any more worries on top of what your already going through xx
Thank you I've done that. I'm still getting symptoms and now this weird early bleeding with cramping. I just want to know I'm ok and worrying over nothing xoxo
Yeah that's totally understandable, I was the same. Are you waiting for the GP to get back to you? You could always ring the EPU if things are getting worse xx
Hi Jess, so sorry for your loss! After my first miscarriage I didn't have a period for 10 weeks. After my second one I had a period about 2 weeks after my miscarriage, which was heavy and painful. After my third miscarriage I had a period again after 2 weeks which was fairly normal and a bit crampy.
Everyone is different, but if your gut instinct tells you to get advice then do. X
After my loss in January I had a period 2 1/2 weeks after my hcg dropped back down to zero. My periods were more irregular than they already were after for a while but I was put back on the chlomid in the Feb x
Thank you romanluna 2015 I'm so sorry for the losses you've suffered. This journey can be cruel. I have phoned the doctors to put my paranoid mind at ease. The lack of information and support for women experiencing miscarriage is shocking. I have heard you are extra fertile after losing a baby definitely want to give it a go 😏 I hope because mine was so early it won't affect my cycle too much xoxo
Thank you. The losses are really hard to face and deal with . Your strong though Jess . 😘 you can be but doesn't always work that way. Anything is worth a try though. Wishing you all the very best Jess xx
Thanks lovely. I have decided to contact my consultant as I want next time to have better chance-my first pregnancy was a threatened miscarriage and this one was s miscarriage so I feel I need to get some medical advice. xoxo
Thank you. I feel better for getting in touch and hope it brings me closer to having a baby xoxo
After my loss last year my period was about 2 weeks later, started light and got heavier but nothing to bad which i was dreading. So sorry you are going through this but admire your positive outlook on what is next xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I found that everything flared up my endometriosis. My cramps were really bad but the staff at my fertility clinic although lovely weren't really very helpful because they did not take into account my gynae problems. I think any pre-existing endo, fibroids, adenomyosis etc flares up when a pregnancy does not happen. Our womb lining was preparing for a pregnancy and we have artificially messed with our hormones and endometriosis responds to all of that negatively. It can all be very painful after. Spotting is not unusual. I had it. Do you use a fertility ap like Flo? I record my temperature not because I can get pregnancy naturally but just to know what my body is doing when I ovulate and fertility aps are good for recording spotting etc I use the information to help me plan ahead. The main thing is to rest and not to worry. Hard to do if your mind is racing at a million miles an hour on how to proceed next. When I felt like how you are now and I rang my clinic in desperation they told me to take ibuprofen and pain killers. Not sure if your doctor is any better but if you are worried you should call them xxx
You make a good point my endo reacts badly to hormones! The GP told me in a nut shell not to worry! I'm such a worrier!!! Anyway I've contacted my consultant as I've had two bleds in early pregnancy-my first pregnancy @7 week's ( it was termed a threatened miscarriage because I went full term and had a boy,) and my last pregnancy @4 weeks-so I see a pattern forming. He's on holiday but he will get back to me to and I hope he has some ideas to promote a better outcome. Thanks for the support xoxo
