FET cycle over Christmas

I wanted to ask if anyone had to contemplate FET cycle that falls over Christmas?

I had failed FET in January it took 12 months to reach this point because I decided to go attend RIF clinic but all the waiting time then treatment to hopefully deal with implant failure has meant my next cycle can start end of Nov but leave me with transfers seven days before Christmas. I find Christmas quiet time, although I have family functions. Also I don’t want to put too much emphasis on FET as they’ve always failed and I hate hope.

Whilst I’m here has anyone had these sets of meds during FET prep as I’m new to few of them;

- Progynova 2mg/8hs, Adiro 100, Folic acid, Sitagliptin 100mg.

- then eight days of following until transfer day - Utrogestan 200mg 2 comp/12hs vaginal + Prolutex 25mg 1 injec/day + Clexane 40

never heard of prolutex

all this feels hard. Can’t believe I’m here again.

Any advice or something to lift my spirits would be great. Xxx

Prolutex is the name of lubion in other countries. Exact same thing. Just branded differently abroad. Lubion is progesterone in subcutaneous injections. I had only prolutex, 2 per day instead of pessaries for medicated fets. As for the FET over Christmas the closest I had was a transfer at the start of December a couple of years ago. So by Christmas I knew it had failed. For me it wasn't great timing I guess, just contributed to the thought one more Christmas without a child.

I didn’t have a fet over Christmas but I did do my egg retrieval about 10 days before. We found out the number of embryos before Christmas but not the number of pgt normal embryos. We found the wait a little hard over the holidays but having family around made it a bit easier. I also made it a point to make the house extra festive.

I had a FET before Christmas test day was 21st I think. It was positive but then lost it as it was a chemical so it was a devastating Christmas and I’ve avoided ever since tbh the pressure of the season just added to the emotions it all somehow. Ive been on meds etc at Christmas but just not waiting for outcome stage again. If it all goes to plan it would be a good time though or maybe even a distraction if it doesn’t for some just not me as I am a very Christmassy gal usually so people noticed xx

we’re due our first FET on the 10th December so testing will be pretty close to Christmas this year. I’m terrified about the outcome and how this will impact me during this festive season but luckily I have some time off so will be able to process it with family as we need to. The good thing about the lead up to Christmas is hopefully I’ll be able to distract myself with lots of plans and nice things!

hi, I had a BFN on Christmas Eve and at the time I had written off Christmas a bit anyway but I did find it pretty hard. I know it’s also a hard decision to postpone and sometimes, it’s better to be distracted. Good luck 🍀🍀 hopefully to lift your spirits, even though the above Christmas was cancelled, by the following Christmas my little boy arrived and he more than made up for all the heart break endured so keep going, stay positive and this Christmas could be your time xx
