Anyone been through FET with RMU or CRGH recently

Hi all

I’m looking for some advice on the procedure involving FET after a failed fresh cycle at RMU (UCL hospital).

I’d love to know how many bleeds they wanted you to have before FET, what did the beginning of the FET cycle involve, what medication you were on and from what day of the cycle.

I have no idea what to expect and if it would be before or after Christmas.

Thank you all.

Hi IMaman! I’ve just had a failed cycle with CRGH. They were thankfully happy for me to start my FET on the next cycle. I wasn’t sure if I’d be ready- but I’m really pleased now that I did because it feels like this is an extension of the first cycle. I’m on a medicated FET so the drugs are very similar to the fresh cycle- except no stims thankfully! X

Hi Coco,

Thank you for your message. I would have loved to start immediately after as well but RMU was being deliberately slow in giving consultation appointment. I am nhs funded, can I ask if you’re self funding?

I wish you all the best for your frozen transfer. 🌸

Thank you so much 🙏

I’m sorry- I got so excited that you were also under CRGH I missed that you are through RMU. I am self funded so will be why they were happy for me to go straight away. I hope you find out soon when you can take the next steps. Xx

Thank you! I’m excited to see others who are under CRGH too. I found out today that it won’t be until the new year. It’s going to be difficult to wait but I think I can try and see it as a break and a much needed time to build my strength up. 🌹

Oh that’s great they’ve given you a date now. I find the hardest part of this process is the not knowing, so you can’t plan.

As much as I’m pleased to be moving forward my body does feel a bit battered, so at least this way you will have some time which might help you build up both your emotional and physical strength. X

hi, i've been through fresh & fet with rmu/crgh - i had a 3 month break in between, but i think the wait was down to nhs waiting.

when i had consultation for self funded cycle, i was told i could proceed with another fet straight away.

like coco24, i had the same protocol, with additional injections (can't remember what!) which i believe were to reduce risk of miscarriage.

wishing you lots of luck ☘️✨

Hi noodles

Thank you 🙏 for your reply. That’s exactly what I needed to know. I’m sorry that the two rounds did not work for you. Are you going for a private third round? If so best of luck. 🌺
