after posting my cyclogest worry, my clinic said my progesterone was on the low side and added lubion. I was fine with the stimms back in July but oh my Lubion is bad!
I got no problem with the injection, but I did my first last night and the area hurts? Like it’s a bruise but no bruise? 😭 I am kinda worried doing it again tonight. Am I the only one?

Hi lovely. I have the exact same side affects with Lubion. I found doing them in my upper thigh was a little better so just rotated between that and my belly. My last lubion injection was a week ago and it still feels bruised! Sending you love xx
I am on Lubion and cyclogest. I am always scared I am not inserting cyclogest right, I do it rectally and sometimes I feel it doesn’t get far enough… but it just gets in between the butt cheeks so I hope it works
I am also using lubion and one thing I will say is it gets easier the more I’m doing them! I found icing the area about 10 mins beforehand has helped it not be as sore 😊
it does get easier you need to push it in more slowly than stims and make sure you pinch a good bit of skin, it can bruise or leave some lumps for a day or so sometimes but does go away. Hope it gets easier for you xx
I read on hear that warming the vial in your bra before injecting helps, and then massaging the spot for about 5 mins after.
These both made it less painful for me. No agreed duration of warming the lubion, bit I shoved it in bra, under boob for about 30mins. But I've read anywhere between 2mins and 30!
I found the first several times hurt but, after a few attempts, it does get easier (there's definitely a technique to it!). For me, my stomach worked best. I'd sit slouched over, so I could grab a roll of fat, and slowly go in at an angle near my belly button. My consultant explained that, when it hurts, it's because you've hit a hair follicle, which put my mind at ease. Over time, you'll find what works best for you x
